Guild Wars 2 WVW server battles take 2 weeks, maps support 300+ players
Posted by: Azog. We are getting destroyed but we keep ending up against tier servers. Last week, we finished last on our match by a huge margin. This is going to happen again this week. Posted by: Tiersten. This is working as intended even though it is very counterintuitive. Arenanet need to overhaul the WvW matchmaking algorithm to suit the current state of WvW where the servers are bunched up fairly closely in terms of rating. Posted by: Illconceived Was Na. Hello, fellow Wuvers. Tired of those same old matchups? Hoping to test your mettle against some different opponents? We here at ArenaNet feel the same way. Up until now, servers have been paired up literally 3 at a time by their precise rating. World matchup system might say if it was an evil overlord instead of a bunch of code.
I have been meaning to give everyone a World Restructuring update for a while now and I finally have a bit of down time to spend doing just that. Back in January, we posted a tentative design that would balance world populations and allow for continued balancing as time goes on. Since that post, we have reviewed a lot of community feedback in many forms Gw2 Official Forum discussions, Reddit, in game interactions, etc. As we stated in the original document, this large task requires work from multiple disciplines and is going to take some time to fully complete. Add to that live game support and, as you can guess, our task lists are full.

I havent played much other than occasionally messing around in WvW, but for those who do. No guild ladder, no obs mode, no matchmaking, only 4 maps-2 of which Sep 24, Currently WvW in GW2 is still strange to players who havent joined guilds.
