Cannes 2013: line-up completed as Directors' Fortnight and Critics' Week announce selections
Cinephilia is an incubator and frequent contributor to the development of filmmakers from the Middle East and Africa through its various initiatives that occupy the space between ideation and production. Cinephilia Productions is pleased to announce the official selection of Cinephilia Bound Cannes Six selected narrative and documentary feature film projects from Algeria, Lebanon, Tunisia, Turkey, and Palestine. Director Biography: Selcen Ergun is a film director, screenwriter and photographer from Istanbul, Turkey. She is a Berlinale Talents alumna. She directed short films, commercials and music videos. Producer from Turkey, Nefes Polat of Nefes Films, is attached with her international co-production experience. Project Objective: Looking for co-producers from Europe, international distributors, sales agents and further financing. Since our cinematographer is French, and he is on board from the very early stage, we are interested in possibilities of co-production with France.
The event takes place each year in April. Around twenty films were presented at the festival, it drew the interest of nearly a thousand spectators. Audacity, eclecticism, and originality are as always in charge of the programming, two thirds of the 30 films shown at the festival were previously unreleased.
Rencontres 7e Art Lausanne welcomes renowned film directors whose works have marked the history of cinema and have inspired our collective imagination. Come and meet these major artists in their unique Conversations. Hear them describe their trajectories and modi operandi, but also, in the light of their experience, their vision of the future of cinema and their profession. The younger generation will also know him for his amazing dancing to the song Weapon of Choice by Fat Boy Slim.

Paul Auster is an American writer, screenwriter, playwright and director.
